Hi All,
It's been a long time, but that's because I've been so happy with my Fujitsu T4010 I bought way back in 2005 - I think. The tablet always had a heat issue, and in fact at one point had a lot of its guts replaced to try and combat the heat. Eventually I put the tablet aside for a while and stuck to a regular laptop that was speedier (and a mac). Anyway, some time later I've found myself back in school and loving the tablet all over again for doing homework. Unfortunately, the heat issue has gotten to the point where it is melting my plastic lap desk, so it's time to replace the thing. At one point I thought maybe a fresh install of the OS would fix things, but due to a dumb mishap, I broke the optical drive. I looked into just getting a replacement, but they are stupid expensive and for the price, I'd rather spend a little more and get a whole computer. And, there's no guarantee that it'd cool down if I did replace the OS. I'd like to spend only a couple hundred bucks and have considered getting the same model so I'd essentially have some backup parts if I ever needed them. My only thought as to power is that I'd like it to be about the same specs so I can run photoshop once in a while.
Any suggestions?
