I have two Scribblers (2100, 3000). I used the 4000 in the testing phase and it was terrible. This 4100 looks much better. All Scribblers have array mics that work very well with DNS Medical. The scroll wheel is a great hardware tool that is a must for reading.
There were some battery issues with the 4000 that hopefully have been resolved by Electrovaya (a battery company). I used my Scribblers from 9-12 and 2-6 with full brightness of the screen and constant wifi charting across a network. (zero power saving employed) The battery would last all day with an hour charge at noon.

digitaldoctors or Chris: Do you have any idea how the 4100 implements pen and touch? Is it a Wacom product? An N-trig product?

So many of us have had problems with N-trig; that would definitely require consideration in a purchase decision...

Also, have either of you had any experience with Electrovaya's PowerPad products, recent or otherwise? They look good, but EV has a very checkered history with external batteries. You may remember Rob Bushway's experience with "Old Puffy"...

Answered my own question. Interestingly, it uses Wacom's pen and touch technology:

I'm not sure Wacom offers their digitizer with touch hardware/software. My Sahara i440D (eerily similar form) uses Wacom digitizer with Fujitsu resistive overlay controlled by Pan Jit software, which works very, very well.

the device is pretty impressive, the look and build quality is impressive. With the price tag though it's competing with motion.
