Hi, I've seen a few posts about tablets for writers, but they're a bit old now. I presently have a Toshiba M700. I love it, but it's too thick and hurts my wrist when I write. I know now that I want a thin, light slate. I don't mind writing slowly. I have my desktop for typing. I love Vista's handwriting recognition and Win 7' looks amazing. So, I would like to know what tablet I can get that works great with Win 7. It would be great if I could get away with an older, cheaper model. I am willing to spend up to $2,000, but would prefer 500-1000 range. I definitely do not want any lag with my writing. I want decent battery life if possible. Harddrive size is not important. A not too reflective screen would be nice. Screen size doesn't matter and touch screen isn't necessary. A plus would be if I could use photoshop or autodesk sketchbook with it, but not necessary.

Any thoughts on the Motion Computing F5? Expensive, but maybe I can find it used. I love the handle. The screen size is nice. Looks light.

Thanks.

To clarify: almost all I'll be doing is writing on this slate (not convertible). No games. A graphic card that handles art progs would be nice though.
