Hi again...

So, my TC1100 has a 1.00 GHz Pentium M processor, and I was wondering if any kind of upgrade would be possible. I know there are plenty of TC1100's that ship with better processors, so it would seem that the motherboard would support it...

If so, could I get some links?

The processor is soldered to the motherboard. It is not like most systems where you can change out the processor.

2GB RAM and fast 5400rpm Samsung or finding 7200rpm Hitachi hard drives breathe new life into 1.0Gz 1100's. Been there and did that.

Like this one (http://www.getpartsonline.com/hts722080k9sa00.html)? (Best deal I could find with a quick Google search)

You need a IDE, ATA, PATA Drive. That one is a "SATA" Drive
IDE drives are getting harder to find in laptop size and 7200 speed..

This is what I am running in my TC1100 But it is 5400 speed.
But I got mine for something like $54.

Hitachi stopped manufacturing 7200 PATA drives in 2006. Any found will be at premium prices or used. Samsung's 5400 PATA drive is nearly as fast and easily found new.

Then he might be interested in this one. He would have to put up with the 128gig limit. Used but not old....
