Mine had 512MB RAM. I installed Win 7 on it and wanted to take it to 2GB. So, I assumed that there was a 512MB card and an empty slot, that I would replce with (2) 1GB 200 pin PC2700 SODIMM. I ordered the RAM, go it in today, and following the instructions from the TC1000 UPGRADES URL: I installed the 1GB stick in the empty slot, and Windows 7 now recognizes that I have 1.5GB of RAM. But where is that other 512MB stick? Is it user replaceable? SHould I even bother (I do have the extra stick here, but guess I could return it to Amazon). I'd like to use it if the extra 1/2 GB will make a difference. There is a huge difference going from 512 to 1.5GB in application opening, switching, etc. Thoughts?
