Hey all, first off thanks so much for this forum, I love the info here. Anyways im a graphic designer/artist and I love to draw in sketchbook pro and do comics in manga studio, and I work in photoshop in painter as well. Anyways after reading alot on here im looking to get a Motion LE1600 used and I was wondering how important the Viewanywhere display is?
Do I really need it or only if im working outside alot?
Alot of them seem to be alot high priced then some of the standard display ones and I was wondering if it is really worth it to wait and find a good View anywhere display le1600.
Please all recommendations and opinions are really appreciated.

I dont really think VA helps alot in BRIGHT outdoors BUT it is something you would really want to have.

A non-VA screen runs into issues if you view from angles other than straight ahead ... and as an artist you will find yourself turning the screen just like you do you paper to get that just right drawing angle of approach.

So "YES" the VA is definitely worth it for DAILY art use.

Thanks Alot, I ordered one with VA, $420 on ebay. Only 1g Ram though so I will be popping in a 2gig stick to upgrade it to 2gig.
This one still has the protective plastic acetate cover on the screen, and is in great cond. Also has the recovery CD's if I botch windows 7 install that Im plannin on doing. That or Snow Leopard. Id like to have snow leopard on it so I can have my version of a modbook without the 3k price tag :)

i think it's pretty good with bright, outdoor use. sometimes i draw outside in bright weather and the screen doesn't get too dull at all. and this is when i have a 4 hour break in between classes when i'm most bored~ :B

Yeah I have VA on my 1600, worth every penny. BTW, I don't think you can install the MAC OS on it, if you figure out how to do so, please let us all know how.
