Hello~ I'm new here and my name is Tadako~

I recently won a bid on eBay and got an LE1600 (for 240 USD). It was shipped just today so I haven't gotten it yet. This is a big upgrade for me since I've been using an Intuos Wacom Tablet for a while now.

As stated in the title, I'm kind of wondering what programs are compatible with the LE1600. I'd suspect programs like Photoshop, Image Ready, Corel and PainterX are LE1600 friendly but what about foreign art programs like Paint Tool SAI ?

(And I'd also like to apologize... because I'm not sure if this is a silly question or not. I don't know anything about Tablet PC's and if there's a difference with regular PC's (yeah, i'm pretty much a n00b... :C ). A friend of mine told me a scary rumor that not all Art Programs work with Tablet PC's... I don't know how that's possible but I kind of want to make sure. So please excuse me for my paranoia. D: )

Much appreciation and thanks in advance..! :'D

Well, I admire you for not knowing anything about Tablet PCs but buying one anyway. That's the spirit!

A Tablet PC will run ANY MS Windows based software program. The only things that can be a limitation is if your software specifically requires a powerful graphics processor, something very few tablets have. That said, we have many artists using the programs you listed with no problem so I think you will be happy with your purchase.

And the great thing about the LE1600 is as you use it you'll get some great accessories for it likely (ie. extended battery, keyboard, etc) and they'll work with the LE1700 :clap2: if you decide to update when the prices drop!

Wow, that definitely puts my mind at ease!! Thanks so much for you replies!! I am truly grateful!! :'D I'm very excited to get my LE1600 now!!

And yes, the reason why I didn't get an LE1700 right away was before of the price difference. o_O I had a budget but upgrading to that in the future doesn't seem like a bad idea at all!! ;D

Let us know how that LE1600 works out, if it is anywhere as good as my M1400 (previous gen) then you should be pleased.

Two Programs you *must* get are ArtRage and SkectchBook Pro. ArtRage is stupidly cheap! ... And Sketchbook Pro is the ultimate sketching program for the Tablet Pc ... and for some people like me, it can easily be the Primary Art Creation software.

Good Luck!
