Power button problem on HP 2710p

My power button no longer works! It slides but does not operate the switch. After removing the silver slider, I can still operate the switch with a small screwdriver.

Any good repair ideas?

One work around is to configure the Info button (next to the wireless switch) to Windows Media Player. After sleeping the PC, pressing the Info button wakes the PC. Now I only need the small screw driver or pin to turn on the PC when shutdown.
