Hi,

I am on a very tight budget but fancy trying out a tablet pc.

I've seen certain ones on ebay for around £100 to £150 such as the Viewsonic V1100 but are concerned the do not have the power to manage sites like Youtube and BBC iPlayer, as they are a rather old spec.

Does anyone have experience with these olds type tablets?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Nick

i have a ton of old fujitsu tablets running windows 95/98,
and NO, youtube and other flash sites are very slow..

spend a little more, and find something pentium3/4/M class,
otherwise it's very painful......you need something that can
run XP at the minimum..

Thanks for the input. I'm now looking at an HP TC1100. It runs XP and comes with docking station etc. Lot of good reviews too. Fingers crossed. :thumb:

the tc1100 is my 2nd favorite tablet for everything,
right behind the fujitsu 5112 (which is much more expensive)..

that's a great choice, and will handle what you need
without any problems..

good luck..

Well, I'm now the proud owner of a TC1100 and absolutely love it.

It's only the 800Mhz version but is certainly up to my requirements.

Thanks for the advice.
