View Full Version : Potentially looking for a new (to me) tablet

I just resurrected my portege 3500 for use as (seriously, don't laugh) a digital household binder, but managed to crack the LCD today. I had not used it for a couple of years and restored the OS and just got onenote installed when I cracked the LCD. Nice, huh?

I've been out of the tablet shopping game for a long time, but it seems that I am finding myself potentially in the market for one. I'd like to go with used, I have a brand new laptop that is my main computer. The requirements I have are:
- Enough ram to run onenote 2007 reliably
- wireless LAN
- decent battery life
- I'd prefer a smaller convertible (didn't acer make a tiny one back in the day?)

My budget is about $500, give or take. Obviously, I want as much RAM/Processor power as I can get for my money.

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Stacy

So far for me the best prices I found are on ebay via outlet stores, of course you know that the older TPC's will be heavier, also depending on battery size as well.
Have you seen the touchscreen adaptions for netbooks (http://jkkmobile.blogspot.com/search/label/touch%20hack)pretty interesting and low budget
What would be great is a list of places to look or a website listing sales on tablet pcs, of course you would need to have alot of free time on your hands or created a spider program(web crawler) to continuously search for you
