Have any of you tried to use ink with Win2000? I know that OfficeXP and the Office2003 Beta work, but must I upgrade my copy of Office or can I get the old Off2000 to work if I install MS's Office patch? I'm thinking of getting a tablet & need to know if I should get the new Office bundled with it. Thanks!

Office 2000 does not support Ink, and the Tablet Office pack will not install on Office 2000. I'm using my company's Office XP on my tablet, and will likely buy the Student Office 2003 if they release that version.

I would bet most people would recommend Off. 2003 when it comes out as opposed to paying for Off. XP right now.

There is a program out there that allows you to use old versions of office (back to 97 i think) and write into the documents; I believe it is called pen<something>; lok around a bit and I'm sure you can find it.

Your right! I found it - it's called PenOffice! Here's a link for anyone else interested: http://www.paragraph.com/doc/qsg20/qsg.html

This should save me some money! :D
