I am the *lucky* original owner of a 3yr old LE1600 with a case of the broken/cracked AC adapter on the mother board. Instead of paying Motion the exhorbitant fee to repair it with a motherboard replacement, I purchased a Flexdock D002. The power works fine and charges the battery but none of the ports work (USB, headphone/mike jacks, or Ethernet port) nor will the screen auto-screen when twisting from landscape to portrait.

First I referenced this Knowldege-base article, following the directions with removing, inspecting and reseating the connectors, no change in condition. Only the power works. Visually, everything looks clean.

I booted in Windows XP safe mode and the same results occur.

I contacted Motion Tech Support and repeating the same thing perfromed already, they stated it is hardware issue. (For the record, I was told the right connector is responsible for all the power but it is actually the left one.)

Before I return the Flexdock unit for another one is there anyone with experience or recommendations? With only one LE1600, is there a way to isolate the dock and determine it is a FlexDock problem? This unit appears in fine condition and was told that this is the first complaint they heard of. The LE1600, however, has a track record of issues. I am not entirely convinced it is a FlexDock problem.

Thanks,
Peter

I doubt it is the flexdock since there aren't really any parts that can go wrong there. Did you have any luck with your LE1600?
