can not select text in ie7i

I have a tabletkiosk 400 series

when i try to input text or select text I just get the little hand that moves the page around, ff is fine??

I don't rule out a third party guesture program that I may have installed in the past and can not delete?

If you can please reply and save a life or a tablet :)

Turn off the hand to select text.

...More precisely, look up on the lowest tier of your task bars, the tier that also contains the page tabs. At far right, probably next to the RSS icon, you should see a hand icon. Toggle it off.
