Dell is offering some great deals on refurbished Dell XT's at their outlet store,
www.dell.com/outlet
Refurbished units are computers that have been returned for some real (or imagined) technical fault, that have been repaired. Frequently (but not always), these units are indistinguishable from new product. As of last night (17Jun08) there were about 100 refurbished & "scratch/dent" XT's in various configurations available, with prices in the $1200 to $1400 range. Of course, other Dell models are also available if you are interested, including their XPS models...
Apparently, you can get e-coupons to receive further discounts on these refurbished computers at Twitter,
www.twitter.com/delloutlet
I'm not sure how these work, or how often they are available; perhaps someone who is more knowledgeable about this will chime in...
