5112 Screen Protectors

I just got my ST5112 with a 12.1" screen. I installed the Fujitsu screen protector that came with it. Is the adhesive pretty strong or will this thing pop off quickly?

If it is strong, is it easy to peal off to put a new one on when needed?

Mike: Assuming that you cleaned the screen before installing the SP, you should find that the adhesive (strips around the edges, correct?) is more than adequate to hold the SP in place.

In the instructions, I believe that Fujitsu points out that when it comes time for replacement, some of the adhesive [u]may</u> adhere to the screen, but it is easily cleaned off with a little alcohol.

Although I only used the standard plastic SP's for a several months, I never had any problems with them...

Mike, I too use the Fujitsu Screen protectors on a ST5020 (same size as the ST5112) and just recently put another one on. Steve is correct, it does leave a little adhesive on the screen edges upon removing but should come off with alcohol. Just be sure to apply the new one on a "clean screen" and in a manner that does't trap air bubbles under it. After years of use, not once have I had trouble with them coming off.
