divx on lt c-500?

I got a lt c-500 on ebay with win2k. My main issue I have is when I try to play a divx movie the graphics has a lot of color artifact, sometimes a double image, sometimes bands of black and white, sometimes bands of green streaks, making the movie unwatchable. I have installed direct x 8.1, latest ffdshow, divx 5.2.1, zoom player, and ac3 codec. I unstalled ffdshow and it was worse with images split in half. Do you think this is a driver issue or is my video card bad? I don't have any other image issues, except when a movie is playing. Is there some ffdshow settings i need to mess with? If so, can you share your settings?

I uninstall ffdshow and divx codecs and then installed an old xvid codec from 2005. The artifacts are gone but the movie is slightly pixelated. Wish i knew exactly what caused the artifact or why it is pixelated now.

has anyone got ffdshow to work with c-500 to watch divx? If so, what version and what are your settings or modifications?
