my stoopid windows decided it wanted to stop loading. alll it does is reset (over and over...). even when i try to start in safe mode it get hung up on mup.sys, then resets.

so since i dont have an internal cd/dvd drive, i took the harddrive out of the motion and put it into my other laptop w/ a dvd drive and i tried to load windows from there. didnt quite work.
windows deleted some old files, loaded some new ones, then reset. once it reset it loaded another installation screen that said i had 39 minutes left for the install. THEN, an error message appeared. "installation failed D:\1386\asms error message: access is denied sucka!(- sucka)

so im wondering what are my other options for getting this thing reloaded?

do i have to buy a external cd drive? if so where/ what kind/ how much?

can i hook it up to an existing cpu and load the disk from there? if so how?

is there a way to get rid of that error msg? how
etc.etc.etc....

sorry that took so long,i just wanted to be thorough.
please help! thanks!

have you tried using a Restore Point? If that doesn't work you will have to reload using the recovery disks and an external USB drive; you can use any drive

el: Are you the original owner of this tablet? If so, do you recall getting any recovery media with the tablet?

If you are not the original owner, can you still contact the previous owner and see if they still have any of the original media?

If neither of these work for you, then you should definitely contact Motion Tech Support and ask about your options; many times the OEM's will provide recovery media for free, or for a small fee, if you can satisfy them regarding your ownership...

...regretably, I had this happen to my desktop early in the summer. It turned out to be the motherboard...alas...
Nothing would work around the reset, then eventually it barely booted, then really nothing much at all.
Now I've got a similiar situation on my M1300...must be the alignment of the planets...lol...

so, i FINALLY get windows reloaded on to the harddrive (after formatting sooooooo many times). i put the damned thing in hibernation, then all of a sudden it wont load. nothings happening!?! i flick the power switch i see the motion intro but i cant go into the bios(with the sylus or button) because apparently nothing is being recognized. then i get a black screen!! and it just hangs there! the harddrive light even stops blinking after the intro!
WTF!!!
