So if anyone missed it. The long awaited Dell Tablet is here. But at a hefty price. Dell has met initial customer feedback regarding the price with a pointed discussion about how much better DuoSense is better than Lenovo and HP. But can anyone tell me more about the DuoSense? I am not understanding how this is leaps and bounds (and more specifically $500-$1000 premium over the Toshiba and Lenovo alternatives that offer Tablet Pen Input AND Touch screens.

Am I missing something obvious? Please keep in mind that I know that the DuoSense will in some future universe allow for IPhone-like multi-touch apps... but until the big MS in Redmond decides to eat crow and build it into their Vista... what is the point of owning a laptop that has the potential... but not pragmatic use?

TIA

I don't get it either. Lenovo has had the MultiView/MultiTouch screen for a while. And Sahara has a pen or finger touch screen. My understanding is that Dell is using the same N-Trig screen that Motion was using for its short-lived WriteTouch and while it was cool, it wasn't unique.
