Hi, I finally found a tablet pc which has almost all the features I wanted. Saw an ad locally and immediately bought it.

At first, I didn't even know what brand it is. After bringing it home, I went into system information and it says, XTABB12D.

After investigating it further on the net, I found that it is very similar to 'electrovaya scribbler sc2000' and some others.

The next natural thing to do was to read up as much as I can from this forum. Like to thank all who have writer here and contributed their experiences with this tablet here.

I'm a very new Tablet pc user. I enjoyed using Pocket PC but later found the pocket pc too small to read ebooks due to my aging eyes.

It is easier with the TabletPC.

Now, I want to buy a good battery for my Tatung XTBB12D (TTAB-B12D?).

would appreciate it somebody here can advice me on this matter.

I'm also thinking of sending my battery to have it refilled.

Thanks.

I would suggest you call the battery company Electrovaya, that sells Tabletpcs made by Tatung, with their own special proprietary battery.
At least that is my take. http://www.electrovaya.com

Thanks for your advice. I visited the link you gave and wrote to them. Actually, I forgot to mention that I live in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The company, "TATUNG" doesn't have a office here. There are several post here raising the question regarding whether the "EV SCRIBBLER SC 2000" is compatible. Unfortunately, there were no answers.

My last option will be to send the battery casing for a battery refill. There are several companies that does that and it doesn't cost too much.

I have a Tatung battery and it does work in a Scribbler 2100 and 3000.

Thanks! It is certainly good to hear from someone who has actually tested the compatibility of the 2 models. Now, I'm hopeful. I've written to both "Electrovaya" and "Tatung." Hopefully, their replies will not contradict this finding. Read a lot of good things about Electrovaya's batteries.

Hi Cphillip from Ataraxia,

For what is worth: The only reason I have a Tatung battery is that a friend of mine had and extra Tatung battery and gave it to me. As you know, Tatung makes the Scribbler and EV is a battery company.
The Tatung battery only lasts an hour. I consider it a backup. Not even sure what the cell size is.
