Hi,

I upgraded by LT C-500 to Windows XP. I pretty much had to, I am a pilot
you see, and I had to upgrade my in flight (jeppesen) software to the
current version. This software needed Windows xp or 2000, so there you
go.

The XP upgrade actually resulted in a pretty good install. I have
video, the pen works correctly, etc. Of course it took hours and the
existing documentation was useless for the task. I should have checked
here first, there are some smart folks who went all through this.

Anyways, the only remaining issue is that I need the screen to rotate
right one step, so that it is portrait mode with the buttons at the
top. I have a custom designed holder for the airplane that relies on
that rotation.

It does rotate. However, after power down/up or reboot, the screen is
completely upside down, that is, with the buttons, power cord, usb,
etc., on the bottom. It will keep landscape mode, just not my
particular rotation (haven't tried upside down landscape).

I have tried reinstalling the trident driver. I have the most recent
one (ends with an "r"). It matches the setup I have seen from several
other brave souls who have upgraded to XP in messages here.

Has anyone found this issue, or a workaround? I would be happy with
just a way to script it so that the display would get righted on
powerup. The issue now is that it takes a lot of time and trouble
to get the screen rerighted each time I power up. It appears to take
two separate rotations of 90 degrees each to get it back to right side
up. If you rotate all the way around, it just results in landscape,
then you have to rotate yet again.

Thanks,

Scott Moore
