Hi everybody,

I've got a problem with my R1F.
I am using Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005. Display drivers are the newest from Intel.

Sometimes, under circumstances I can not surely reproduce, after wakeup from standby (sleep) or resume from hibernation, my R1F display stays dark. External screen works. Hitting the Fn+F7 or Fn+F8 keys for enabling backlight or switching between screens has no effect on the display. Even using the desktop context menu for switching between preconfigured Intel display configuration seems to do what it is supposed to, but doesn't enable the tablet display.

Only complete rebooting works, going back into standby and wakeup has no effect. The problem occured also on previous installations of Windows, even with older drivers.

Has anyone the same problems? Does anybody know a solution to this?

Thanks in advance
Rollo

As the forum doesn't allow me to edit my post, I want to add here that I am using latest 310 bios.

Yes, rollo, same problem here on my ASUS tablet. BIOS 105 was supposed to work around it but that's not available at ASUS anymore. Also there is a MS hotfix that deals with it which I installed once to no avail. Have you had any luck since your post? What I did is just set my power setting to go to screen saver after 30 min (I don't think that matters), and then adjust the other settings to never shut anything off. There is also a checkbox somewhere in there that disables standby. We're not the only ones with the problem, but I can't find a fix anywhere.

I used to have the same problem but disappeared after upgrading bios.

I'm afraid that I can't remember which versions and I have since upgraded from XP to vista.

I have had no problems with that since vista, however, my system often hangs when I pull out the AC???? I've unistalled Power4Gear and waiting to see if that makes a difference.
