I'd like to install Vista Home Premium on this machine. Can anyone tell me what I need to do / download etc to make the process less painful?!
Does Vista run well on the 1510 anyway?

Many thanks
Ravi

I wouldn't try it. The 1510 has an older-model, single-core CPU that tops out at 1.2GHz, it has a 4200rpm hard drive, and it can't hold more than a gigabyte of RAM. If you hooked it up with 2GB of ReadyBoost memory and a faster hard drive, it MIGHT do alright, but you'd still get heartburn from the slow CPU speed and cheap integrated graphics.

It ran pretty well on my P1510. Definitely not a screamer. You won't get AERO with the graphics. I used the vista drivers from www.fujitsupc.com for the P1610 and don't recall fighting it too much to get all the devices working.

Yeah, it's a single core proc, but heck, so is my P1610, and you can buy them with Vista installed.
