Hi,

since yesterday evening the four Tablet PC buttons Arrow3, Arrow4, HotKey1 and Enter stopped working.

I can't even enter the Bios setup or open the Motion dashboard. The buttons are neither working when restarting nor are they working after Windows is running (Vista Business). It worked for the last 23 months and now this. I can scroll up or left but not down or right (Landscape mode).

The Arrow1 or Arrow2 and the Hotkey2 buttons do still work though.

What's the cause of this? Can this be fixed somehow? The extended warranty should cover this, I hope. Coverage ends this September.

Is this caused by a defective motherboard?

Best regards,
Bartman from Switzerland

First thing to try is a System Restore back to a point before the problem.

Start
- All Programs
-- Accessories
--- System Tools
---- System Restore

Hi,

A system restore won't help. It is not a software issue.

The buttons don't even work in the Bios to navigate through the settings. I have tried this. I even replaced the hard drive to see if it's software related. Unfortunately it's not.

How about removing and reinstalling the button drivers?

I tried this already, the buttons are not only gone in Vista, they are also non working when using the Bios setup. This seems to be a hardware issue.
