I have a toshiba p 3500 with no O/S on it. I ordered recovery CD's from ebay and they arrived yesturday. Problem is, I need a bootable CD drive to recover my system, and I dont have one. Great!!

Now I'v been reading about how to do a network install nad I am at a very big lose. None of the instuctions make much sense to me and how would I create a bootable dos image if i dont have a floppy drive? any clarification with this network install would be appriciated.

Now I was thinking, is there any way to boot the CDs from the hard drive? Iv installed dos 7.1 on the HD and inserted it into the tablet. It boots to a comand prompt. But what ever file I run it asks for the cd to be inserted. for some reason my external cd drive is not reconized by dos so I can't boot from the drive.

Im at a very big lose as how to restore by tablet. please help.

sergi182,

There have been several discussions over the years about accessing the ghost image. Try a ~Search (see left side of the screen). Look for "ghost" in the Toshiba forum.
