Yesterday came my "new" ebayan ST4110P. Unfortunately he has one big problem - the pen and the arrow on the screen are differing up to 2 cm. The widest is on the left border in the middle. From there the distance is lowering to the right border and the upper and lower left corner and the right corners to. Following some threads in this forum, I opened the PC and was looking for some dirt in the device - nothing to see. The problem remains. Have you other tips to solve the problem? When I can`t fix it - how much does a repair cost in a repair shop?

BTW: Why can't I see the Antispam-COde in my firefox, neither in the IE/?

Check if you can find the utility to calibrate your touch screen.

I'm not sure if you're using XP Tablet PC Edition, so I'm not sure where it might be found on your tablet... hopefully that can help to compensate better.

I used the calibration tool a few times, mostly i became a error message - the diffenrce is to big (or so). in the moment i can`t recall the message, i try to replace my passive display with an active one i bought by ebay.

Got the same issue with XP SP2. It's solved by the pen driver V1.2.0927.2004.

Anybody knows how to get the buttons working under SP2 or how to set up the pen with screen rotation?

I have my ST4120p working fine, with all buttons working.
Only issue I still have is the pen won't work properly in portrait mode.
Its like the X&Y axises are reversed. Yet it works fine with a regular mouse.

Anybody have the solution? I've been checking for DAYS..

Got it working with ST4110P with XP Pro German SP2 and all current patches. Rotation and pen working properly in portrait mode. Still have to figure out some things and then I will post a solution. I've tried so many drivers and combinations that I forgot how I finally did it. Just one thing ahead, install XP without SP or with SP1 than unpack SP2 and delete or rename the subfolder for the tablet components under i386\root\components\tabletpc or something like that. With those components enabled the pen position is reversed in portrait mode.

My response to the original problem of pen and arrow miss-alignment is a bit late in
arriving here.
During a recent attempt of mine to fix the loud fan in my st4120 I stumbled across the
reason for the pen and arrow not lining up in some areas of my tablet.
The bottom line to what I found was:
When I had upgraded my hard drive from 30GB to 80GB I missed what turned out to be a
crucial part of swapping the drives. The original tablet drive had a 1.5"x1.5"x 1/64" metal
plate taped to one corner of the hard drive case. I should have figured out why this was
there, instead I just ignored it and left it on the old drive and then installed the new
drive.
If I had been more observant at the time I would have noticed that this was when my
pen/arrow position problem started.
After some trial and error positioning this metal plate on it new drive I was able to get
the pen/arrow calibration to be correct. For my new HD this meant I had to position the
metal plate on the corner of the HD to the right of where it was on the old HD.
After doing this the calibration of pen/arrow is now as good as it was when I first got the
tablet-with no 2cm miss-alignments of pen/arrow in the main screen area above the HD. But the areas at the edges of the screen still have slight miss-alignments which I believe is normal for this tablet.
What was causing this pen calibration issue was the magnets in the HD. The metal plate taped to the case prevents the magnetic field of those magnets from interfering with the pen/arrow alignment.
So if you are having pen/arrow alignment issues in the area above where the HD is installed, you need to remove your HD and make sure this plate is installed.
Forgive me if this post is a bit choppy. I am currently on pain meds and they make me a bit
more fuzzy headed than I normally am. ;)
