Now that the 440 is making it out into the wild, does anyone have a gauge on the real-world battery life for normal/extended battery?
I am becoming more and more enamored with this machine.

Joe: Did you happen to notice that Hugo Ortega has just posted a short video review of the i440D on the GBM home page? I haven't had the time to watch it yet, but perhaps he commented on battery life.
In addition, you can expect a couple more reviews of the i440D in the foreseeable future. I'm sure that battery life will get commented on, now that you've explicitly asked about it...

I watched Hugo's video this morning - he has a prototype model and consequently didn't run any tests on the hardware. His video did convince me that I am very interested in the dual screen and how tabletkiosk implements it. Also, the docking capabilities seem very useful for my particular situation.
Battery life is a deal maker-or-breaker for me. I currently have an electrovaya, and the battery just went kaput - it is down from 6+ hours in meetings to 3+ on one charge. I really like the all-day battery.

Hello Joe,
The standard battery should give you between 3.5-4 hours of battery life with Wi-fi / Bluetooth active; but this is subject to a disclaimer that each user may experience different results based on use / configuration. We are in development with an extended life battery that will be released by end of summer that is targeted to offer 8-9 hours of total battery life. The battery will attach to the docking connector of the unit and cover the complete back of the so we will maintain a overall system balance.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
