Spotted Motion Computing LS800, LE1600, LE1700, and Samsung Q1 UMPC with SOLID STATE DISKS preinstalled here - http://www.dvnation.com/Motion-Computing-LS800-LE1600-LE1700-ssd.html .
Benefits include speed, running cool, and for pilots their tablets will not crash at altitude the way they will with a standard hard disk installed. These guys offer RAM of 2GB in all these machines too! No one else is. They seem really knowledgeable and even offer an upgrade service if you already own the Tablet.

See Motion Computing offers SSD for LS800 Tablet PC:

Article says Motion partners can do this work. Haven't seen anything on AllTP site though.

Samsung are doing the drives. They announced them a long time ago; data sheet is here:
http://www.samsung.com/Products/Semiconductor/FlashSSD/download/Standard_type.pdf
Here's a 16GB one (this company stupidly won't sell outside the USA so I had to get it using "other means"):
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147020
The 32GB one was there but they've taken it down; I bought two of them and that was their entire stock! An associate company of Newegg is
http://www.chiefvalue.com/product-_-productdetails.cv_-_item--20-147-021
but they don't list it anymore - I expect they sold out fast.
I should be installing it in my ls800 this week and will report on success.

and here is how you do it

This was necessary to make it work above about 13,000 feet altitude.

Finally I have fit a fan to the LS800.

Just got my LS 800 back with the SSD. I had it installed through Paradise Computers http://www.paradisetablets.com, to which Motion referred me. Service was excellent, and big improvement in speed of loading and running applications. Battery life and heat seem better too. Not cheap, but I feel like I have a brand new puter :-)
