The TC1000 uses the less common finepoint digitizer rather than the more frequently found Wacom. Head on over to www.finepointinnovations.com and see if you can download the Vista finepoint drivers.

I did manage to get the TC1000 digitiser working on Vista, but I'm not sure that it remained working after a reboot.
You need to run the sp21627.exe update from the HP website. I think you may need to set the compatibility mode to make it think it is running on XP.
if you go to the "c:\compaq\finepoint\" folder, or wherever you extracted the update to, you can manually install the drivers and run the setup.exe
you will probably still get the message "failed to start the tablet service", but it does in fact start working.
The real question is, is it worth the effort? Vista on a TC1000 is slooow, and I was never able to find a workable graphics driver for the Geforce2Go chip.
In the end I just restored my backup back to XP.

Yes you use the XP version of the drivers (install in compatibility mode and run as Administrator), you might get a few warnings, and need to reboot but in the end they are working.
The Geforce 2Go chip is not capable of Aero and/or much other performance so yes in the end it was a nice excersize and I would have loved to have the new TIP instead of the broken XP SP2 version but as the batteries are almost dead anyway of my machine its now relegated to a WebCAM display console (with XP back on)
