Hey everyone.

Sorry if this is a repost - I searched and couldn't find anything similar. I finally received word that a piece of hardware I use now has Vista drivers so I'm ready to make the jump. I popped in my Vista 32bit DVD, restarted the computer, and got to the main 'Install Vista' page. However, once I click 'Install now', I get the following error message:

"A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now.

Note: If the Windows installation media is in the CD/DVD drive, you can safely remove it for this step."

My 3 options are 'Browse, OK, Cancel'.

If I click OK or cancel, I am presented with a 'Select the driver to be installed window' with an empty list. If I click browse I see two drives, Local Disk (C:) and Boot (X:). I presume the Vista installer made that X drive.

Anyone know what driver its looking for? I'm using the standard PCCARD external DVD drive for the m200. I did some searching and some people (not discussing the M200) say it is asking for a IDE Controller/SATA driver? It can see the hard drive in the 'browse' menu, but not the DVD drive, so I believe its looking for the PC CARD DVD drive drivers. Anyone know where I can obtain these?

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Solved:
Downloaded the following driver from the WinXP section of the Toshiba driver site:

PC Card FREECOM Cable II Cardbus Driver for Windows XP (v208.2; 11-07-2003; 165K)

Its odd that it can load the Vista installer from the disc but then can't read it. Whats up with that? :P

Anyways, case closed.
