I just got ahold of a LTC-500 with W2000 upgrade to XP. It was allready installed. The pen wasnt working. I installed all the drivers in correct order. Everything works except the pen curser on the left side of screen stays 1/4 " left of the pen. as I move to the right, after center it becomes accurate and more sensitive. I thought maybe the digitiser or screen is a problem. However There was a restore point I went back to. I installed the drivers at that restore point and it (pen) worked great. I have since cleaned up the mess on hard drive and there are no restore points. But now the pen is irratic again on left side. Any one have any thoughts? thanks.

For what it's worth, here my 2 thoughts:
1. I assume you have calibrated the pen by the Calibration icon on the Windows Control panel. After start the screen turns black with a white cross in the topleft corner and you are expected to touch the crossing with your pen. This is repetead in each corner of the screen. The pen position is now calibrated and should follow the pen accurately.
2. I had an LT with a pen cursor that always returned to (nearly) the top right corner. Using the pen moved the cursor "a little", but returned almost immediately to the top right corner. After messing with new driver installs, that did not bring a solution, I looked AND found a mechanical cause for the problem. There was some dirt between the metal frame on the top side of the LT and the touchscreen, somewhere in the top right corner, and the LT saw this as a "click" of the pen on the screen. I remove the frame and cleaned the dirt on the touchscreen, and had a fully working pen! Looking at your description it seems more like an driver error, but then again, you never know!!
Good luck!.

Thanks for the thoughts. One of the problems I have is when I go to calibrate, the pen is not operative far enough on the left side to trigger the first mark. ( a mouse curser moves there just fine) so I cannot recalibrate. But I will remove the screen and clean just to eliminate or fix. Thanks
