I can buy a used 1600 with or with out the centiono chip , does anyone know if is makes a big difference on the following:

Too Hot to touch ,
or too noisey of fan or
drains the battery to fast.

Update: Well maybe the 1600 only comes with the intelM ( mobile chip)

Probably the only difference between Centrino / non Centrino branding on an LS1600 would be the wireless card (Intel or other).

Should have no signficant difference for
heat, noise or battery life.

Now if you are looking at an LE1600 C (celeron) that's a completely different discussion.
