Hello all.
I was reading some posts on the Tablet PC forums at Microsoft, and rememberd some comments here as well about being able to use the input panel in a Remote Desktop Connection / Terminal Serivces Session. The final result was that you could not use handwriting or the input panel in a terminal services connection.

I have just upgraded 2 of our servers from Windows 2000 to Windows Server 2003 and noticed that there were some slight changes to the RDP Client. I copied the client installation file to my tablet PC and installed it. As I remember, I get an error on the installation that the software is alread ypart of Windows XP, however it's okay since it really did update the RDP Client software. N ext time you try to make a terminal session connection in tablet mode or with the input panel open, you will see that the terminal services session is windowed and that the input panel is visible. You can handwrite into the terminal session as you would any other application.

I have also installed penRite, which is an awesome handwriting recognition program, I like writing anywhere on the screen and having it recognized. It's not perfect, but I think it's better. PenRite works in the terminal sessions as well.

Anyone who is interested, please PM me and I'll send you the update via e-mail.

Nice, glad to hear they fixed that problem. Wonder if they have any plans to publically release this client for Windows XP?
