I just got a used tc1000, and i can't get it to calibrate perfectly. In one corner, no matter how i i calibrate it, the pointer appears a few millimeters away from where my stylus is pointing.
Is this a common problem? Is it fixable without getting a new screen?
Thank you

Hi Bootyology,
These things rarely calibrate perfectly. You can improve things a little by keeping the pen at the angle that you are likley to use at the four corners of the screen. For me I'm on a bit of an angle at the top left and almost perpendicular in the bottom right.
What I found is by focussing on the dot on the screen instead of the end of the pen, the sense of being displaced in the universe goes away or at least fades after awhile.
What is astounding is that we ever learn to deal with a mouse where the distance between what we do and what we see can be many tens of centimetres instead of millimetres.

but, if i get a replacement screen, this problem shouldn't exist?

Bootyology,
If we are talking about a few millimetres - that's not all that unusual. You may not see any significant improvement with a different screen.

What he said!
Calibration is never perfect, and with the TC units you also get some parallax due to the thickness of the tempered glass screen.
Get the calibration as close as you can. Then when using the Tablet focus on the pointer moving on the screen as opposed to the tip of the pen. You get used to it quite quickly.

my problem is driving me crazy. If i play around and try to trick my screen into calibrating such that i get the accuracy i desire, the right 5 millimeters of my screen aren't even reachable by my mouse pointer using the stylus, there's sort of an invisible border where the screen will not map my input past. Also, it'll be more off when i go closer to the center of the screen along the bottom. it's like the sensory grid is bowed in spots.
messed up calibration is a huge pet peeve of mine and I was wondering if these problems are primarily attributable to the screen itself. I want to love my tc1000, but if i can't resolve this problem i might sell it and go for another brand. And, i will never buy a used tablet ever again.
