For the past month, everywhere on the screen of my Tecra M4 there have been green lines running through anywhere that should appear black. The lines seem to "flash" or "shimmer". When it is coming out of suspend and booting up the screen is green instead of black.

I have brought it in for repairs. So far they have tried to replace the monitor and the cables (hinge cables) that run from the monitor to the motherboard. The problem still persists.

Has anyone had this problem? How did you fix it? What was the cause?

If they have replaced the panel, check and see if it does it on an external monitor. If it still does it, it is most likely a faulty graphics chipset. The Nvidia graphics in the M4 may be an integral part of the mainboard, so they may have to replace the mainboard.

Also, have you checked that the graphics driver is not playing up? Upgrade to the latest version of the drivers and see if that fixes it.

If any one has any information on this it would be awesome as my M4 started doing the exact same thing recently. I tryed pluging it into an external monitor as wallen suggested but it appears fine on the external screen. I also opened up my screen and check the wires and every thing seems to be connected firmly.

Please Help us.
Thanks in Advance,

If it is fine on a external screen, you have a panel problem...
