I just replaced 2 AC adapters for my M200. The first one was the original that came with the unit, the second one was a replacement I found on ebay. I am now on the third one which is hard to find and very expensive.

Hi TabNewbie808,
I don't recall reading or hearing about any problems with these adapters. I have a couple that are on most days for 7-15 hours/day. Both nearly 3 years old. No problems.

I had one go bad in my R15. Now, the part you plug INTO is going bad and I can't find a computer shop that will fix it.

I've had all of mine go bad (I've had an M4 and an R15) The soldering and/or the copperwire quality in the coax connector connector really sucks. I've ended up finding non-Toshiba replacements with adequate amperage and voltages close enough to do the job. Most of mine are from IBM's. They are rated at 16 or 17 Volts which is well withing the comfort zone of the 15 required for the Toshibas. for about 5 or 6 dollars, you can by an adaptor to convert the IBM tip to the Toshiba Tip. The none I've used is a CALRAD electronics part number 30-346 to convert 2.1 mm to 3.0 mm. I've also found the Kensington DC to DC converter for my vehicle to be a fabulous help because it is so efficient and automatically adjusts to the proper voltage, so you can use it for any computer with the proper adapting tip

I've got at least half a dozen Toshiba power supplies around the place (some over 7 years old) and have had no dramas with any of them...

My original power supply failed for my M200.
I replaced it with a Kensington model which I really like. I also bought an extra 2 Toshiba M200 power supplies off ebay (knockoffs, very cheap). It's nice not to have to carry the power supply home.
