I recently had the latch break on my M275. I called GW service, they sent me a shipping box and I sent the computer in. It was $169 for the "cosmetic" repair. I shipped it and got the computer back in a week adn they had fixed the latch as well as fixing a crack up near the hinge and they tightened the hinge for me. They even threw a new Gateway sticker on the laptop where my old one had worn off. The computer is good as new! Just wanted to give props to GW for an outstanding customer service repair.

I tell you what, I have had the absolute worst service with Gateway. But I just had to have my screen replaced (the digitizer was bad) and I have to give props for their service. They sent someone out within 2 days and replaced it under my warranty. FINALLY, a smooth transaction with their service. Makes me think they might be trying to save their service reputation.
