Does anyone know if and when speech and/or handwriting
recognition (Windows XP Tablet PC Edition) might be available for Swedish?

(There has been a release (MUIRP) including handwriting
recognition for Spanish and might be one for Dutch as well...)

The MUIRP information released so far (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/tabletpc/evaluation/multilingual.asp) only mentions Swedish in regards to UI settings.

Also, even when it is released, end users won't be able to just download and install it, since it's targeted at OEMs and corporate administrators.

Thank's for the quick answer. Seems as I might have to be patient and wait.

You might not have some tip about software for handwriting recognition that could be used in the meantime?

Yes it does, but no swedish version. I don't know of anything in swedish off the top of my head, but I'll keep my eyes open.
