Hi. I have been getting a BSOD for the past week. The error message flashes too quickly for me to see what the error reads. An attempt to stop the restarting after crashes did not help. I looked at the event log and got the following codes from 13 BSOD events:
0x0000004e (0x00000099, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
0x0000009c (0x00000003, 0x80545ff0, 0xf2000000, 0x0002010a)
0x0000009c (0x00000003, 0x80545ff0, 0xb2000000, 0x0002010a)
0x0000009c (0x00000000, 0x80545ff0, 0xb2000080, 0x00000800)
0x0000009c (0x00000000, 0x80545ff0, 0xf2000080, 0x00000800)
0x100000be (0xbf8036ee, 0x0fadd021, 0xaa137c94, 0x0000000c)
0x10000050 (0xbc6fb760, 0x00000000, 0xbf8363c5, 0x00000000)
It was suggested that the RAM might be bad, but since the TC4200 has no floppy drive and I don't have an external drive, I can't test it with some of the RAM testing programs out there. It was also suggested that the drivers might be corrupted. Can I restore all the drivers without destroying all my data? I tried a restoration point that was prior to when all these crashes began, but it was unsuccessful.
Does anyone have any thougths as to the solution of my BSOD problem and how I can test my RAM with a USB flash drive? Thanks.

Decheck the auto restart.
You can find this under startup and recovery on the advanced tab of your computer's properties (right click on my computer)
From there you should get a stop message on a particular driver or dll.
This will help.

Have you installed the most recent set of Intel ProSet drivers which are currently available on HP's website? I began having numerous BSODs after installing them. I traced it down to a problem with the LEAP authentication used at my employers. I found a newer version on Intel's website and have not seen the problem since...

Interesting, it's a long shot, but my symptoms also started last week. I haven't solved it yet.

Thanks to all who replied. The crashes have stopped for now. I ran Prime95 and discovered that my settings on undervolting were a bit unstable. I increased the voltage and ran the program again without crashing. Sorry, Sullivanpt, but I think my BSOD may be caused by something different than yours. At least, it is my hope that the undervolting was the problem.
