I've looked at Hoots recent post and saw that you can use a USB CD drive to load Windows XP onto the LT C-500 as long as you have the floppy drive to load the drivers but can this also be done for Windows 2000 or do I have to use a PCMCIA CD Drive? I've got a PCMCIA drive that I want to get rid of if I can use my USB CD burner in it's place if my tablet ever needs to have to OS reloaded.
Thanks in advance,
Jason

You most certainly can. Basically, the disk loads up DOS, along with some CD-ROM drivers in the autoexec. From there, it launches the setup file on the CD-ROM.
The best way to be 100% sure is to try it! Get a bootdisk and boot into DOS and try accessing your CD-ROM. I recommend MadBoot as your first shot.
Good Luck!

Thanks, I'm in the process of getting a floppy off of ebay when I find on for the right price and I'll get ahold of MadBoot and try it.
