Has anyone experienced this issue before? When using the remote desktop connection on my tablet, I can use the keyboard input method just fine but the Writing Pad refuses to work. My handwriting queues up but no text ever gets sent. Granted, I thinks this is not specific to the TC1000, but a lot of people post here. :)

Try it if you haven't already noticed, let me know if you have the same problem.

Thanks,

What OS is the system you are trying to remote into? W2K has a known issue. I don't have the link currently, but there is a knowledge base article on their site.

Windows XP, but the Os doesn't seem to matter.

I've done this using WinVNC without any problems, you just have to be sure to have the input panel set to send immediately rather then the proof read option.

Been there, done that already. Haven't tried VNC, but honestly this should work w/o it. I tried switching on the preview mode just to see if that would help, and it did not. This is on multiple machines I have this problem, so it seems to be a problem with Tablet PC edition. =/

Another problem with remote desktop, at least on my motion:
right clicking from my desktop through remote desktop (winxp RD) anywhere on the tablet desktop crashes explorer on the tablet.
very annoying when you want to create folders on the desktop....

also, i get tons of errors about hkcdm modules or something like that. i have no clue where that's coming from either...

I looked at the URL which references a KB article, but that's for Windows 2000 "hosts". In this case, the host has always been Windows XP and it still doesn't work. Does anyone have an actual link to the hotfix which is supposed to resolve this on 2000? Maybe it'll work on XP as well...
