I use my tablet as I go from room to room seeing patients and I need to be able to copy the Journal note (ink with background template) into a medical record for each patient. I have created some custom templates for Windows Journal but when I Select All or Select Page to copy and paste, only the ink is selected. If I copy the jnt file to my desktop computer and bring it up with Windows Journal Viewer, I can copy and paste the template + ink just fine. Unfortunately I can't carry my desktop around. I tried to install the Journal Viewer on my TabletPC and got a message saying no can do. I know it is possible to export to a tif file, which will include the template + ink, but the tif files are quite large (compared to a gif file for ex) and this adds several extra steps that significantly slow me down. I'd appreciate any help with this problem.

Not an optimal solution, but you could use Snippit (The Windows Snipping Tool Power Toy). It allows you to cut out screen prints from applications and apply ink to them. You wouldn't need to apply ink to them (since the ink is already there) but it should work for you. You can download the snipping tool here:

I hope this helps,
