This is driving me nuts. My Toshiba 3500 resets it's brightness to full bright whenever I restart the computer or switch the display from landscape to portrait or back. This is very annoying because the screen is way to bright for me. Any idea how to permanently set this to half bright?

If I remember correctly you need to go into the toshiba power settings app and set the screen brightness there for each power setting that you have configured. Full power, battery power, standbye, etc. . .
I would check my pc but unfortunately I had to send it in for repair as the harddrive failed on it. :(

that's correct. you have to use the power saver application in the control panel.
it still has this bug where when i resume it goes to bright for a few seconds and then once it is fully resumed it goes back to assigned brightness.
