Do these tips break or wear out? I wasn't sure why it came with so many extras.

Also, anyone else try the cross tablet pens... if so, how do you like it and are there any benefits other than 'feel'?

Just like a pencil point...the tip on your pen will wear down with time...so when it doesn't move as smoothly on the screen as it does now, it's time to change the tip. (BTW, I've had my tablet for about 6 months now and there is no sign of wear on the tip...perhaps others will chime in on how long they've gone before having to change their tips).

The cross pen has an eraser (some don't). Other than that, the feel is probably the big difference.

Also it's not unheard of ... that you might drop the pen and damage the nib.
