Does the WACOM Pressure Sensitive Pen http://accessories.gateway.com/AccessoryStore/Hardware_316441/Input+Devices_316608/Device+Accessories_316615/1829874_ProdDetail
work with the NEC. It is really not made for tablet but it has the same specifications!

When I talked to Wacom a couple of months ago about pen alternatives, the customer service representative indicated that only a few pens (specifically listed on Wacom's site) were compatible with Tablet PCs. Not sure if this is true, but I decided it wasn't worth ordering a pen that I was uncertain would work.

Vert, from your referenced website-
that first pen listed sure looks like the full sized NEC pen, even tho the description says "exact replacement of the Viewsonic Tablet PC pen."
Penabled Tablet PC Clip pen with pressure-sensitive tip, a single side switch and pen clip. Exact replacement of the Viewsonic Tablet PC pen. Color as shown. $29.95

Looks like the Cross pens will be a bit thicker and perhaps a bit more confortable with which to write. But from what I have seen, Cross and Wacom are still only willing to say that the pens will come out sometime in Q2.

I'm pretty bummed with my full-size pen. it often "skips", leaving blank spots in my handwriting. don't know if i have a bad tip, or what. haven't had the same experience with the little pen.
this is only on 2-3 days of use, though, now...

Interesting. I haven't noticed this problem with either pen, but I will keep an eye out for it.

We cannibalized the rubber grip from a Pilot G-2, cut it down to size and put it on the larger pen...this seems to give it a much better feel.
Has anyone had problems with the pen not working when the machine first starts up? It seems to freeze, and the only thing that will get the cursor moving is to hit the security button or attach a mouse (which isn't very practical).
