I've been having problems with omnipass. The omnipass screen comes up at login time, but the fingerprint window never appears. I've had limited success uninstalling Omnipass and reinstalling it, but the problems seem to recur quickly.

I have tried both the motion version that shipped with the tablet and the version that is on motions web site. (6-08-04 seems a little long in the tooth to me..... I'm very dissapointed that Motion does not actively revise their drivers... Still dealing with video issues too.)

I've purchased hundreds of Thinkpads and one big selling point is that they actively keep their drivers up to date and fix the little niggling glitches.

Not to sound too simple, but occasionally I just have to click on the fingerprint to get that back. There are two icons on the Omnipass window. The fingerprint is supposed to be on by default, but sometimes the Key (typing password) gets switched on and the fingerprint does not appear.

<<occasionally I just have to click on the fingerprint to get that back. There are two icons on the Omnipass window.>>

I also think that this is the solution. I always get the fingerprint box unless I bomb out after 3 tries! Then, the next time I log on, I have to hit the fingerprint icon, as sierra suggests, to get the fingerprint window to show up consistently again...

The problem we are having is that the fingerprint icon never appears. Just the omnipass window that is usually below it.

On the window below where the fingerprint box should be there are two icons. One is a Keyand the other is a finger, I think, or a fingerprint. Those are selection icons. You can click on them. Click on the finger. Your should get the sensor to work that way. Clicking the key means you have to type in the password. It remembers the last setting, so once you set it to fingerprint again it should stay that way. If your finger fails 3 times in a row it defaults back to typing the password.
