Is there a way to get the journal to export to bmp as well as tif directly from the program? Right now I am having to export to tif first, then convert the tif to a bmp. Primary goal is be able to send mail through Outlook Express rather than Outlook, and have the image appear in the recipient's preview pane, rather than having to send as an attachment that has to be opened by the recipient.

No, unfortunetly there is not a way to export as a bitmap from Journal. The best alternative for sending it that way would be the Microsoft Snipping Tool. With this the person on the other end would be able to read what ever you select and send in his/her preview pane. Hope this helps.
