Aside from the screen resolution and the weight (which applies to all current tablets) l think the motion is just the best but l Sorely miss a means of navigating on the Side of The tablet When using in portrait , as the Compaq and Some other tablets have
l had a chance to look over friends Compaq tablet ,and l was Struck with how well designed it was.
seems to me that It would be a good Interim solution to have a USB device with a small roller to be able to navigate up and down pages
(l also think that the built-in Speakers are hopeless ;not only do they face the wrong way -they face backwards for heavens Sakes ,but they're on the bottom when l use in portrait and get Smothered if I'm resting the device on my lap)

or a middle mouse button to initiate smooth scroll.

Actually, I like where the buttons/directional device are. I use mine in landscape quite a bit- only using portrait to read, when it is just like the PocketPC in the positioning of the buttons.
Different requirements for different people I suppose.

Malcolm, where is your scroll button when you are using portrait mode? I ask because I have mine on the top of the tablet (as opposed to wraith808 having his on the bottom), and I find it actually very comfortable to sort of at the same time hold the tablet with and rest my right hand on the top of the tablet, and scroll with my thumb. (I am left handed though, and my pen is of course in my left hand--so for anyone who is right handed they would probably be using the left hand for scrolling in this scenario).
If you haven't tried that yet, why not try it? Let me know what you think.

Well, my TC1k "jog dial" is nice to use for scrolling when in portait, but when in landscape, it is either at the very top, or very bottom depending on orientation. Neither is very good to work with, so I stay portrait most of the time, or just use the pen to scroll ....

I suppose that same reason is why I stay in landscape most of the time... but again, when reading, it is intuitive since the same setup is on the PocketPC phone.
