I bought my M1400 last April. In May 2004, I bought two additional batteries. Life with my tablet is fabulous. Yesterday, I noticed one of my batteries wasn't charged (I have a toaster charger). I figured I forgot to charge it. Well, long story short, it's dead. Motion support says I'm out of luck and have to buy a new one. On a teacher's salary, I can't afford to buy new batteries every year (at $150 a pop) . Can you guys recommend a more reliable replacement? I use my tablet all day with wireless, so having the 3 batteries was essential. Any suggestion is appreciated.

Try taking it to a local Batteries Plus store. They can revive them to about 85% original capacity, in some cases.

I have used them to revive a few laptop batteries in the past... never tried a Motion one, though. (Although I do have a dead one here, myself, that needs a fix.)

Toma12:

The way out for my need of replaceable batteries was eBay. The most expensive one I bought there costed me $60.00 plus shipping. The cheapest one was 46.00. I still have both!

Also, techforless.com sometimes has good deals on "open box" batteries.

I have been tracking ebay for a month but only see someone selling the battery for like $120 with unknown condition.

Thanks for the suggestions, I definitely will look into them. A friend of mine says the Lithium Ion batteries can only be recharged 300 times. Is that true?
