I wish they could implement a bios-level wakeup and ring function. Maybe with a windows utility that would load your alarms from outlook to a special part of ram/bios. That way even if the tablet is off you would get reminders, that would go a LOOONG way towards replacing my ppc.

how mucb power does the computer use with the powermizer set to lowest perf, and screen&digitizer off(is that even possible?)? That could be a solution.

Doen't alarms and things wake the tablet from Standby mode? In standby mode the computer is still "on" in that power is going through the circuits, and thus processing can be performed. In most BIOSes you can set the Tablet to turn on automatically at a certain time of the day, like 2:30PM when I get back from class so my desktop on waiting for me. Could this be of use? Does the Tablet BIOS allow this?

Does anyone here actually own a tablet that could try this & report back to the forum[?] Thanks[unworthy]

My outlook/Tablet Planner reminders do not wake the tablet from standby. But if memory serves, there are ways to set different events to wake from standby. So the rest of the story is I've not tried to make it happen either.

Same here - no wakeup on the TC-1000 from standby except for USB keyboard/Mouse activation - and i have both of those disabled. Sorry.
