I found that when using the journal, the cpu utilization is 100%, especially in writing. Does it have anyway to tweak it, otherwise the tablet is growing hotter and hotter.

GF,

In my quick analysis of Journal CPU utilization, I'm seeing an average of ~85% utilization during handwriting with peaks around 96%. This is acctually a good thing as your are tasking the CPU but not "overloading it". This was with multiple application in memory although none of them where performing CPU intensive activities.

Are you sure it's not something else running (memory resident utility, etc.) that may be causing the 100% utilization?

P.S. What kind of tablet are you running on?

Sory, didn't see the TCl000 icon. Have you installed the latest updates from Compaq?

I have installed all the updates (officially published) for by TC1K. The high CPU utilization will cause the unit running hot and high temperature will triggle the fan. You know how annoying of the fan noise.
